Electronic product catalogs live!
On the basis of an example 3D parts were created and prepared for an electronic product catalog. The CADENAS training team showed different kinds of output media, e.g. CD ROM, internet, 3D PDF data sheet, or the interactive product configurator.
Parts management and parts consolidation live!
The CADENAS Customer Care Team led the participants into part management and showed them how a given parts master can be browsed through with the help of the CADENAS part consolidation solution. At different workstations the opportunity to get first-hand experience with the CADENAS solutions was given.
Tips & tricks for the usage of PARTsolutions
Datasets with ERP data, demo users and demo roles were already installed so that the application and benefits of the LinkDB quickly became clear. These are, for example, the supply of data from third party systems, directing user behavior, containing “unrestrained” new parts installations.
The PURCHINEERING initiative
The PURCHINEERING initiative’s goal is to demonstrate the use of new and alternative ways of process optimization for standard and purchased parts.
With the PURCHINEERING initiative, the participants had the option to trade their experience amongst each other and gather improved ideas for their own companies. The first meeting of an initiative of this type took place at this year’s Industry Forum.
Support Center
Prepared part management environments, product development environments and internet access for the testing of PARTcommunity functions were available at demo computers. The staff of the CADENAS Customer Care Team was available for any additional questions, comments and problem solving needs.
